Do we have the right to get modem console login details

I have purchased modem by giving the full amount and ISP have configured wifi SSID and password their own. They also changed the default modem console login password. When I approached them they are little bit hesitating to give it. Just want to know whether we have the right to get it.

It is your's, so obviously you have right to know the login details of your modem. I don't know why your LCO is hesitating. There should be no issue in it.

A question, what are you referring to by modem? Is that the wifi router or the device with the optical input, or is it 2 in 1 ?

You have full right to know the details
LOC are hesitant as they are responsible to maintain the n/w in case you have issues in future they keep similar password for all the wifi modems supplied by them...so it becomes easier for them to trouble shoot in case of future issues.

Yeah, Problem is wifi password set by them can be simply guess from the ssid itself 😀. Didn't want my wifi to be used as a public wifi,hehe
