Blinkit (Grofers) News & Updates

Dear customer,

We hope you and your family have been keeping safe these past few weeks. We also hope that we have been able to serve your grocery needs during these challenging times when everyone is practising social distancing and staying at home.

A few weeks back, we had to take a difficult decision to temporarily suspend the usage of Orange Cash. Please accept our sincere apologies for this inconvenience. Ever since, it has been a top priority for us to bring back Orange Cash usage for you.

At the start of the lockdown, we found several incidents of abuse of Orange Cash by people hoarding essentials and reselling them at higher prices later. This was limiting our ability to serve genuine customers at large. We have now identified these abusive customers and blocked them and will continue to monitor any abusive behaviour, especially from those looking to hoard and resell.

We are pleased to announce that Orange Cash is back from the 1st of June 2020 on 2500+ non-essential grocery products. You will now be able to use your Orange Cash on Ready Masalas, Nuts & Seeds, Namkeen & Snacks, Chips & Crisps, Aerated Soft Drinks, Baking items, Jams & Pickles, Pasta, Furnishing & Home Needs, Home & Kitchen, Pooja Needs, Pet Care and over 2500 products.

Orange Cash will continue to give you an additional 10% savings along with our promise of lowest prices. To help you with even more savings, you will be able to combine other offers with your Orange Cash including discounts from HDFC Bank (1st-7th of the month), Axis Bank credit cards (every Wednesday), SBI credit cards (every Saturday & Sunday) and many other banks.

We hope that you continue to enjoy the benefits of lowest prices and best offers as we, at Grofers, promise to provide you with the best products at best prices, like always. We are looking forward to continuing to serve you with your groceries at your doorstep - hygienically packed and safely delivered.

Stay home, stay safe.

Grofers seems to be dead in many areas right now.

fails on the app. fails in the browser.

Grofers is useless atm.

I've ordered on 30th April, the order was scheduled to 7th May and just before few hours of delivery they re-scheduled to May 13.
Ever since lockdown started last year, their service is like that & hasn't changed.

Looks like Amazon and Flipkart pantry is only best alternative.

How's your experience in 2021?

until shit hit the fan few days ago, i was getting two hour delivery from their nearest warehouse which is pretty close to my place. my last two orders were scheduled 5-7 days later. so i have been using them for stuff i do not need immediately. i also try to order something small just after a delivery and keep adding items to it as they bundle it all in next delivery and do not let you pick a different delivery slot.

Freaks have released a major visual update of the app and it is completely messed up. Frame rates drop randomly. Discovery is harder than before. All the focus seems to be promoting brands which are paying I suppose.

I guess I would have to rely on search alone from now on.
