Syrotech bridge mode

I brought a tp-link Archer c6 router and I have a Syrotech router connected to it in bridge mode
where Syrotech is only being used as a modem

the question is now how do I access the Syrotech's web UI?

You need to assign an IP address in the same subnet as that of the ONTs management interface, to the secondary interface of the C6. There is an option for it in the UI.

ONT and C6 can't be on the same subnet. My C6 is on 192.168.1.1 and ONT is 192.168.0.1.

Set ONT to a different subnet than your Archer C6 and enable DHCP on ONT. This is config on my Netlink ONT

In your Archer C6, go to Advanced =>Network => Internet and set a secondary connection with Static IP

Now you can access ONT with 192.168.0.1

If you are doing this, do not connect any additional LAN ports between router and ONT. This might cause the DHCP to be assigned from ONT rather than router.

I use a D-Link DIR 925 router which has an option for multiple simultaneous configurations. For accessing the internet, I have the PPPoE setup and after that, I have setup a Dynamic IPv4 after enabling DHCP server on the ONU. You can also use a Static IPv4 if you don't want to enable DHCP on the ONU. This Dynamic IPv4 has the ONU's default IP as its gateway and works fine for me.

Okay.. my ONT is on 192.168.0.1 and C6 is on 192.168.0.1

So what I did was this

But still it's not working??
Initially it was saying forbidden on 192.168.1.1
But now it says "not found"

@tobiaskuran working by setting static IP in secondary connection with 192.168.1.2 IP , and I am able to access my ont. Though can it cause any network configuration problems?

Thanks @varkey i didn't know it. Everytime to troubleshoot or check rx power of onu i have to use laptop but now i can access it from phone.

@dkdhanda8 It shouldn’t give you any problem. C6 Archer handles it well.

My current setup is same and it works just flawless. All setup done after going through post in this forum.

I can open TP-Link, Syrotech ONU and also Tenda which I am using as range extender.

Anyone got any idea how to achieve the same in openWRT. I tried creating a new WAN interface with that IP, the ONU is accessible but PPPoE connection is still active but internet stops working.
