Pro Max is US$1770 in India. One of the most expensive among all markets.
 
Valid point. But they are putting a dollar against 100 rupees. $699 phone is 69,900 here. Exchange rate being in the 70s and keeping buffer till 80. Is it 25%/ $200 more just in taxes and stuff that is not applied to other imported products....
 
@mhsabir 100 conversion ratio is true for 12, for Pro series, it's 120 this year, last year it was 100. 999$ Pro is ₹1.2L, till last year it used to be 1L
 

I am yet to read but I was hearing rumours that charger will be removed. Next time I expect speakers to be removed. Need to get their Bluetooth speakers instead and then the year after remove the mic and so on.
 
EU has been quite vocal on it. They want all electronics items to have a single unified charger. I imagine other phone operators would follow eventually. The good thing is that almost all Android users would have a USB-C charger by now. iPhone users who do not own an Android device or one of the new Macbooks or iPads would probably not have one and they would have to buy one.

Removing a essential part of any electronic device i.e charger in the name of “environment” and not passing the cost benefit to the consumer and instead raising the prices is a very unethical business practice imo. I really hope these Apple fanboys open their eyes now and show this company that they can never be above consumers.
 
Exactly! They should've passed on the cost benefit at least. See MKBHD'S video from 3m back on this, when it was only a rumour.
