Google Pay Axis Bank ACE Credit Card

Ended up calling the 1860 number which generated an activation code which had to be received and provided in the Ivr to set the pin. And that had to be provided in the app.

fucking banks and 1860 numbers. at least they are free on jio as folks have told me here.

Applied today and the application was instantly declined. 🙁 The application check button on the website doesn't work as well. Salary/ CIBIL shouldn't be a problem. I live in a tier 3 town (Axis bank branch IS present here). Do you need to have an account with Axis for the CC?

It showed a message, "Sorry. Can't process your application. Thank you for your interest." or something similar. So, I presumed it was rejected. I read on reddit threads that you get rejection message on SMS. But that hasn't come. I hope it hasn't been rejected. I wrote to the customer care and am yet to hear from them.

Actually, the portal banner at the end showed, "Axis Bank instant credit card". Maybe, Axis Bank customers get the cards online instantly. Others are made to use the same portal, I think. Without any customer history, the instant card generation failed as expected, in my case and your case too. They take the data and schedule pickup later. This is entirely my theory and it seems valid.

When I tried to get an AXIS card, they have a weird pin code blacklist. I live in Noida and they had blacklisted even Noida's pin code. And what was the excuse this pin code in our systems shows Greater Noida and it is blacklisted. Never looked for their card since then. Bunch of idiots.

Citibank n icici too have this pin code criteria.
Its based on previous payment track record of that area. If too many ppl debt goes bad in one pin code they block it.

I guess they block areas where recoveries will be difficult. But instead of banning entire pin codes they should block only small areas. A pincode covers quite a large area with people from all income groups.

Why check CIBIL then!!!! I had emailed them about this and they called me. Took some details and sent an email that the app. has been rejected. Try after 6 months. They'll also send a rejection letter via India Post within 15 days (WTF!!)

I already have an Axis card, I called up their customer care (this was yesterday) and asked for the Ace card. They took a request, and today got an SMS saying card is approved. Logged into Axis mobile banking app and I see the new card details already updated.

Credit limit is shared with my other card.

Got my first statement a couple of days ago, no cashback visible in that so wondering what's the cashback period. Need to read T&C. But I do get SMS saying last transaction is eligible for 2% , 5% cashback etc.
Edit: Just read it-
Cashback earned for the purchases during the current billing cycle will be credited in the next
billing cycle 3 days prior to the statement generation date i.e. if the statement date is 15th
March, cashback earned in the Feb month cycle (16th Jan-15th Feb) will be credited on 12th
March,
