Bsnl showing biased nature shows exclusively good plan for selected cities but even after updation plans like 849 with 100mbps still i am on 50 mbps and in banl selfcare portal in almost all plans ** marked that shows plans available only for selected cities, now what about rest of india no plan available or still that same 50 mbps plan even after paying 849 + gst=990 even in competition bsnl itself provide 100 mbps in 499 plan as per banl portal

Neither selfcare portal showing accounts
When try to add account, it says account allready added in our system but .....kaha hain wo accounts

I get no upgrade, only 50Mbps now in 849 plan. Actually the speed was 50mbps flat before BSNL announce new plans. Now getting lower speeds, to 35mpbs etc...

This new plan announcement is not only discriminatory, its detrimental to rural customers.

Currently on 1277 100MBPS plan, called up my LCO regarding the upgrade, he said no upgrade is going to happen anytime soon. called up bsnl customer care, they said plan will be upgraded in the next billing cycle i.e 1 November. Don't know who to believe.

Bsnl is purely looking into making money and it badly needs revenue now, if the competition is not there, i do not see any reason for them to offer these plans and lower their income, on the other hand, customers like us have no other option but to stick with BSNL.

One of the posts also said 1st Nov 2020 upgraded plans will be applicable to all customers as per customer care, even this I believe does not look like happening any time soon.

Mine got upgraded. And I did absolutely nothing. My plan is 777 and I'm getting 100mbps now.
And it did change only in the last billing cycle so I guess wait for that.

@shin does your area have any other major isp like airtel or jio? asking because my lco says upgrade is only for areas where competition exists.

@xibinx Nope, no Jio airtel. BSNL is the only I have and had for the last 12 years. Kind of a rural area. I live in the most town-like area of my district. My LCO initially had said that the new unlimited plans should arrive everywhere. But later it was limited to only some areas and other areas should get the upgraded plans.
And that areas with competition thing is BS, I believe.

Dont know, called up customer care again, they gave me a landline number to call for getting the upgrade. will call it tomorrow. lets see what happens.

yes, i did call that number. as it turns out, these guys dont even update employee records. the person used to work as an SDE in BSNL many years ago and has been retired for quite a while now.
