Airtel Xstream Fiber 100 Mbps (Getting 300Mbps+)
Hello! I am using Timbl Fiber 60X plan under which I get 60Mbps download and upload speed if connect directly through LAN cable.
I am currently using single antenna D-Link 600L router for WiFi. But I get speed 25-35 Mbps download and upload.
Suggest me some router than can provide me if I take 100 Mbps speed connection it should provide me in WiFi router.
Thanks!

Way over budget! I guess i'll stick with the c80 for now, let's see how it fares...will be posting the reviews here for it and the c60 as a wds point...

So an update,
The Archer C80 arrived today and god I am disappointed! Especially when I ended up paying almost 2000 more than my previous c60 for way lesser features...
Here's a brief summary of it all...
1. No 802.11ac only option to choose in the 5Ghz band...both 802.11a and ac have to be chosen in conjunction with the 802.11n.eg. 802.11a/n, 802.11ac/n, 802.11a/ac/n these are only available to choose from
2. No WDS option, you cannot use this router in a repeater mode. TP-Link has entirely deleted the "System parameter" option from the new interface.
3. No hardware information indicators such as CPU usage and Memory usage
4. The router's system time did not get updated despite repeated attempts to do so and gave continuous error of NTP server timed out.
5. Wifi coverage at par with c60/c6 routers only, nothing special there
6. Smart connect feature is simply a marketing gimmick and hardly connects to the 5Ghz band, even when the device is right next to the router. You might as well use the 2.4Ghz band then.

All in all I simply did not find the router worth spending extra ₹2000 on, so returning it. So disappointed with a tplink product for the first time. Hope Amazon accepts it and refunds the money.

I know! Even I was a bit surprised to see it not existing on such an expensive and high bandwidth router...
As I said, it's too expensive...have you used it or know someone who has ? I don't want to simply get another substandard product only to return it later...
Besides...can it act as a router as well ? Like for a pppoe authorization and stuff ?

i dont have the router myself but yeah it doesn't appear to support repeating wifi.

yes, it IS a router, that is its intended purpose.

also there is a range extender mode hidden in the gui, idk if it works but you can inspect element the hidden css tags and get it visible. dont know if its functional though

this is the emulator

mesh M4 can also work as a router, though ideally in order to reduce cpu stress you should use archer c6 for routing instead.

i meant it isn't visible in gui but you can use inspect element to make it visible

right click on operation mode page on the "Router Mode" text and click inspect Element
you'll need to find this li tag. it says "radio-list disabled" if you edit it and change it to radio-list and remove "display:none;" it'll become visible

kinda hard to explain through text

Hey, thanks for the info but then again it's something very technical. May possibly void the warranty as well...so I will just go by all that I can see on in the interface by default.

Wow! D-Link DIR-825 looks so promising, looks neck to neck with Archer C6. On bonus DIR-825 has even a USB port.
Brand wise D-Link and Netgear considered to be the best. D-Link is Taiwanese reliable brand unlike Chinese TP-Link.

Then why people are going for Archer C6 over DIR-825? As price is almost the same that is 2275 INR.

😀 I cannot speak for everyone. But I've two C6, one of which is configured as the wifi AP only.

The other C6 is doing bsnl pppoe, dhcp for upto 20 devices, and a switch of 4 LAN devices. Some are heavier usage like torrenting, 4k streaming devices etc. And i'm still getting an iperf local speedtest of about 250 mbps on 5ghz wifi. C6 also has comparatively better spec (The dir-825 is 660MHz and 64 RAM, C6 is 775MHz and 128MB Ram.) So I'm doubtful if DIR-825 will be better in my case.

@harshvkrm , the www.digitalcitizen.life reviews of the Deco mesh systems maybe helpful.
