I disagree. On railwire I could easily get 6ms for servers in Kolkata but for JioFiber, the ping is around 25ms. In my city, the leased line of Jio can get you <40ms ping for Mumbai but JioFiber gets you 50-60ms minimum. So I guess it's not just about having a cable. IMO every ISP has more or less similar routes.
 
Anyone who plays fifa on Airtel Xtreme? If so please Let me know about the gameplay and ping.

check full route details of railwire they actually toggle their route for kol.. sometimes u can also see 0 ping for siti railwire etc to kol server..
 
Bro your fiber signal is almost reaching to bad level. the Rx level should be in the range of -18 to -25 dBm. This is the reason of your bad speed and high ping. Contact customer care. Ideal level is between -18 to -21dBm
 
-25 dBM cannot be the reason I guess. Mine is running fine at -28dBM and BSNL tells that I should call them only when it reaches -30😂
 
@shashankb it truly affects the latency. BSNL guys are lazy and that's why they do nothing and make excuses. When I was using Railwire, I had faced several issues because of it, my signal had gone till -30 dBm and the connection used to restart itself frequently, and then there was a fluctuation in ping, speed, and especially on upload.

I was on around -26 dBm signal in Airtel and was not facing any issue with speed and ping. Still, I created back-to-back tickets to make the optical power better- around 8-10 tickets. It was a challenge to make the technician understood and agree on the fiber issue. For this, I always said I am facing intermittent issues with ping and speed. The connection drops for few seconds and if there are any meeting calls or live stream going on, it drops. It took around a month but finally, they resolved it 3 days back and now the signal is always in between -19 to -20 dBm.
 
So guys I fixed some bending in that yellow patch fiber cable and now getting -21. Speed test I get like 80-90 Mbps but ping to 8.8.8.8 is like 250. Airtel gateway and dns also 200ms
 
pings are fucked up no matter what ! i get 100ms to mumbai server in valorant and csgo and 110 in sgp ! doesnt makes how come mumbai and sg has 10ms difference !
 
My ping issues I think are because of my gateway. I get 45 ms ping to Airtel’s default gateway. In BSNL I get like 1-2ms to default gateway. There is something wrong in LCO’s configure I think
