Airtel Xstream Fiber Broadband in Patna/Bihar

Well I can tell you ,but the bitter truth is Indian ISP and LCO care the least about the quality of your connection . I do not mean to discourage you , but you can still try

Your ISP has to have some room left in his Bandwidth for traffic to move freely and peer at multiple places to Internet Exchanged . Let's say your ISP has taken 5Gbps line from some X company . Now he oversells the connections and this leads to slowdown. Hardly any local ISP acknowledges that
This usually happens with Local ISP. National Level ISP like Airtel , Jio Fiber , BSNL fiber , ACT try to avoid this mess and have huge transit with them
That's why it's advised to go with a bigger ISP .
Even if you tell technical terms to the person , he won't understand a thing . Instead you will get frustrated

You just enquire about the ISP and post the details here . I am sure someone must be using that ISP

on the 8th hop it goes through this server 52.93.116.149. I checked it's geo location and it showed up as Seattle,USA.
Not sure which website did you look but when I checked, it shows Mumbai.

Which broadband connection is best for gaming in patna then?
Railwire has kind of better ping than other operators in Patna. But they will charge you for installation. The guy who owns the Anisabad Railwire franchise is Ganjeri and a moron. You can get the connection and enjoy it till it lasts. They would not pick up your call for any service issue other than fiber cut. and sometimes not even for that. But surely they are better in terms of GTPL. I was about to take GTPL and someone from Anisabad who is already their customer advised me not to do that as their connection used to be down most of the time without any reason.

You can give Airtel a try it's not best in terms of ping here in Patna. but they have a pretty good jitter-free powerful connection than others. Even when the Airtel ping is not better than Railwire, I have had a better experience in using Remote desktops and Video conferencing on Airtel. Plus, they do not charge for installation and Router.

A couple days back it used to be okay in terms of pings now it is fucked up I get 100+ms in Valorant 90+ in cs and all other games same ! Dunno when this is goin to be fixed !

Also I have heard that bsnl and gtpl gives good pings in patna is it true ? Anyone can confirm

I used to get 33ms for 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1 a month back. But now it's always around 50ms in Patna.

I emailed them and got a call on the 17th at around 9 am. But nothing has happened till now. Airtel has never sent out an engineer after messaging that they will. I recieved call from my LCO for my last service request. Airtel literally told the LCO to fix my problem like how is he supposed to fix bad routing.

@Aarin
Any updates?

After sending couple of reminders they called me again said our team is working on it and it's taking more than expected, sorry for the delay.

What can I do now except waiting...

And I am getting low ping on jio mobile data than airtel Xstream,...Lmao.

@SukaHuka In Patna, You will also get a better ping on Airtel 4G than Airtel Xstream fiber. Because they have their Mobile server here, you can see it on Speedtest. All "Bharti Airtel Ltd." are mobile servers and airtel broadband servers are "Airtel Broadband".

the problem is the route for bihar.. airtel has 2 rings in bihar both coming from kolkata n one is sub joined near up to del..jio has all route from kol to bihar jh.. kol to bihar route is always cheap n most of the isps have their bng route from kol as its nearest peering hub.. only tata has best routes to bihar from del or kol they have best bng route .. it will take time for airtel to sort out the ping issues or i can say it will not solve bcos its lco model n there is a deed in which they will cut commission of lco for downtime if upstream is ok... dont comapre airtel lco model vs airtel ftth model.. airtel has strictly mentioned no to use couplers or baredd patch cords in fat boxes but u know these cable operators..

@isp007 How do you come across this info? routes and rings of Airtel and other isp?

Btw what is meant by best bng routes for noobs like us?

@Realme bro u r not noob.. i worked as an network engineer n now own myself an isp.. every telecom isp wants to connect via nearest peering hub for less issues.. bng is there middle transmission hub or odc between there noc n last mile connectivity .. ..
