How to get a PVC Aadhaar Card for Rs. 50 from UIDAI?

Got mine today as well (had ordered on September 27th). Tried the tracking number and it appeared to have been dispatched on Oct 8.

Got mine today too. Had ordered on 27th. Shows printed on 29th. Don't know when it was dispatched, but came from Bangalore as EMS registered speed post.

It's quite good actually. I'm surprised it costs ₹50 only. If it only costs the government ₹50, they should just permanently issue all new cards as PVC cards, while maintaining the legal validity of the paper based as well (in case someone loses their PVC and needs a temporary one till the replacement arrives).

On the status Page, the SRN is still active and shows "Approved and Sent for Printing". So I think as per UIDAI, that's the final step from their side. Once approved and sent for printing, you just have to hope and wait it gets to you someday.

I got mine today. The card itself is very good, feels premium and has many security features and all for a very nominal cost of Rs 50 (with delievery) amazing I must say..

Good thing that we dont have to fill up forms just to get it reprinted in case we lose it. I wish i can get my DL reprinted the same way, its slowly losing its text and getting blurred. If anyone knows how to get DL reprinted without visit to the RTO please let me know.
 
Isn't drivers' licensed a concurrent subject? So then why aren't they all just issued by the Central Government? 🤔
 
I noticed something peculiar today when I try uidai.gov.in site via Jio fiber wifi on a laptop I get a 'Timed Out' error but when I try the same site on my mobile using Jio sim it works. But when I try Jio fiber wifi on phone same story as on a Laptop.
 

I am trying to download e-aadhaar since last 2 hours. UIDAI site is painfully slow today and getting timed out. Even with VPN it is slow. Most likely an issue at their end.
 
aah I just remember that my phone uses Netguard app which has VPN turned on. 🤔 so I tried Opera browser with VPN on but no luck 🙁 But when my phone uses the same VPN on wifi it does not work.😵💩

New 'discovery' Opera browser using inbuilt VPN set to 'Optimal Location' works.

@Samuel Yes theres some problem today. Now its not working on phone or computer irrespective of type of connection.
@Jay LOL. Neither of the two. I was going thru the posts again & was wondering what had happened to those of you who had a failed attempt few days ago.

Today I noticed UIDAI site was giving a Timed Out/Not Accessible error before 8 am, after that it seemed to come alive but was v v slow. But I managed to download 2 masked aadhar cards of family members. Now comes the litmus test of ordering the PVC card 😗
