G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes Star Henry Golding Confirms Film Will Reboot the Franchise

Earlier this year, the G.I. Joe spinoff began production before the coronavirus pandemic took hold of the entertainment landscape. Now, with things back on track.

Ridgely explained, “Golding takes over as Snake Eyes from actor Ray Park, who portrayed the character in the other two G.I. Joe films. Parks' iteration of the character never spoke or took off his mask, but Golding's will likely be much different. Since this Snake Eyes film is focusing on his origin, Golding will probably be featured without his mask for most of the movie, and it would be completely surprising if he didn't speak at all.”

The “G.I. Joe” spinoff “Snake Eyes” starring Henry Golding is the lone movie to jump forward. It will release three months earlier on July 23, 2021, instead of October 22, 2021.

I just fast-forwarded through it and saw a shot (I won't post it here) and that alone told me why this movie tanked. They have dumped the entire source material in a trash can and made a random story with the GI Joe characters. I mean, they specified initially that this is indeed what they are doing. But this movie is so far-fetched and illogical (I read the plot), that nothing will make sense.

First 20 minutes of the movie: Snake eyes working for the Yakuzas moving guns.
