Apart from 8T belonging to company of Chinese origin, what could be other reasons/issues to not buy 8T?

Majority phones, more or less, will have some part or the other that is of Chinese origin, directly or indirectly.
For your question, its a rebranded Oppo A 50, don't recall the exact model. I saw it on some video.
Rebranded is no harm per se, but just a point.
Also their Qa on software has taken somewhat a hit as from what I have read.
Besides, Carl Pei has also left so there is some vacuum in the company. There is lack of fresh ideas which would set it apart from rest of the crowd.
If I were you, I would wait for sometime till the dust settles and if I see some genuine "value for money"phone. Like more RnD in 2/3 cam setup instead of 4 setup.

I am using Samsung A8+ from last 2.5 years, so now looking to replace phone.
I don't want Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Poco phones because of reports like Adverts displayed in UI (and also them being Chinese OEM).

I would like to buy phone such that I can use it for another 2-3 years. So having 5G ready phone is good to have.
I would like to have Snapdragon based phone, which Samsung does not provide. Phone should get constant updates and new features for next 2-3 years. Display should be OLED, which Nokia does not provide.
Finally budget should be around 40K.
As of now only 8T fits all requirement which I mentioned. (though OnePlus is also Chinese, but their UI is clean)

I hope Samsung S20 FE comes with Snapdragon 865 (like S10 lite), or Samsung launch A51/A71 successor with Snapdragon processor. Or Nokia launches 8.3 in India.

OnePlus 7t pro would be a better option imo, right now should be around 38k I guess including all the discounts
I have 8 pro and I regret my decision to be honest..

I'm considering 8 Pro. Outside of high price is there anything particularly bad about it? I heard camera of 8 Pro is better than 7 Pro.

Yeah, he has left! I think the innovation stopped and the company settled with the trends. Their software is what's making the phone different otherwise it's a rebranded Oppo device.
