I took the 399 plan and got a bill for 15 days. Apparently, they are doing an interesting jugglery by splitting OTT charges and telecom charges in the bill and this is sure to have tax ramifications for both customer and these guys.

For 15 days, I got a bill of ₹ 225.62. There is no ebill yet, so I cannot see the detailed bill. I have mailed them for it. But, I can see that bill period charges are mentioned as ₹ 63 and tax on that is ₹ 11.34. I wonder what the rest is about.

My bill cycle ended yesterday, till today no bill from them. Just a bill number with the bill amount. Cannot even download the bill from the website.
What is the ratio of bifurcation. How much they are showing as Telecom charges (subject to GST) and how much they are showing as OTT charges

They are doing this for lower AGR.

@phoenix10386 Do you mind letting me know about the offers? Like, Amazon, and disney?
Do the subscription start as soon as you opt the plan, or you can activate it later as well? as i currently have both the platform subscribed already. 😛

You can activate anytime you want. I have activated Netflix and reserving Amazon for when my current subscription with Amazon expires. It has been running with Airtel since a few years now. However, since last year I have observed that Jio pushes you into 2300 MHz as soon as you start using your phone, that means I get almost nil signal at my location. I have a repeater but that boosts 1800 and 900. So, Airtel works very nicely. Jio used to until last year when they started pushing to 2300 as soon as data was used.

I have checked this. A secondary Jio SIM not using data connects at 1800 and stays at 1800. The moment I set my phone to use that SIM as data, it moves to 2300 and signal quality goes down the drain. So, with this in mind, I can’t quite make good use of Jio, despite offering what it does, since to use Netflix I am mostly connected to my WiFi Hotspot that uses an Airtel SIM, giving me a good 30-40 Mbps as it stays on 1800 if that's a good signal, like it should, not forced into the higher band like Jio, regardless of signal quality. This is at my location. Do not know about pan-india.

I recently shifted Jio prepaid to postpaid. The Netflix plan which got activated is 199 mobile only plan.
Is there any method (work around 😅) so that I can watch on my laptop since my phone screen is too small to enjoy the content.

@devangpatel The workaround will not be difficult I would say , as you can install a Android emulator considering you have a decent config PC and that should work.
Incase you are wondering if anything can be done on browser , that cannot happen as Netflix security is such that supports only latest and legit browsers .You cannot tweak that .They even have DRM in place , so no messing .

But you can always install Bluestacks or whichever the lighweight emulator you can get and you are good to go. It should have bare minimum features
Full screen mode and Hardware acceleration , rest no need .

On another note, it's been 15 days since I ported out of Jio Postpaid and I can still access my Netflix and it still says billed through Jio. Don't know what is going on. I have preemptively sent them a mail long ago that I can still see my Netflix as billed through Jio and I am not liable to pay anything and they confirmed that subscription is cancelled. Only, it is not, as of now.

That's because Netflix is on monthly basis.. check your next bill date. It will stop working on that date.

Hi folks,
I have both Jio Fibre and three Jio mobile connections. Wondering what would be the optimal/ cheapest way to get OTT apps.
1) I am currently on the cheapest Jio Fibre plan with no OTT apps or Amazon Prime. I could upgrade that to get the apps. But will these apps also be accessible on my phone apart from the STB? For example, can I watch Netflix on the phone? What login details will I be using?
2) Alternatively I can upgrade two of my three Jio prepaid connections to the a Jio PostPaid Plus connection costing Rs 599 a month ( the family plan allows for two connections in one plan). In this case, I can continue paying for the cheapest Jio Fibre plan.
Will this be the cheaper route to take? And will the OTT apps be accessible on my Jio settop box or via a desktop browser? Or are they only available only on the mobile phone?
3) Similarly, will I be able to access Netflix on another phone that is not on the Postpaid Plus plan? I will be moving my parents' mobile connections to Postpaid Plus but they do not watch Netflix. So can I use their Netflix login on a phone that is not on a postpaid plan? Or even on a different network?
Thanks!

Is anyone on the Family Plans?
Is the Data Rollover available for only 6 months?

anyone on family plan?
Do we need to pay anything additional for family SIM. Eg. if one has taken Rs799 Plan is there additional charges for the 2 additional SIM?
