I'm facing a common problem of WiFi but unable to solve it on Jio routers.

TL;DR I don't find an option to change the WiFi broadcast channel for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz spectrum in my Jio Fiber JCO4032 ONT router.

Long story:
I got a Jio Fiber connection 2 weeks ago and my neighbor too got the same 3 weeks ago. The house layout is something similar as shown in the image below.

Both routers are blind to each other and hence both are broadcasting 5GHz in channel 44 (WiFi Analyzer screenshot attached below). But my living room is at the other end of the house where both these WiFi signals are getting overlapped as shown in the image above. This isn't creating much trouble for phones and laptops if used in this zone, but the Jio STB struggles a lot to load the Live channels. However, I see that non-live things work fine in it.
So I wanted to set my Jio router channel manually to the best available channel, but couldn't find the option anywhere.

Can someone suggest me what can be done on this?

My router Firmware version: SRCMTF1_JCO4032_R1.28.1

PS: I'm pretty sure this HiddenSSID is not broadcasted from my router but is from my neighbor.

Instead of clicking on the link, use the search option provided on the top. Search for "advanced" and select the option you need. This search feature can be used to reveal many settings that are otherwise hidden.

Can someone please suggest me what channel should be used for 2.4 ghz for best performance ? Internet suggests it should be 1, 6 or 11.

and for 5 ghz , it should be 36, 40, 44 and 48

What is everyone over here using ? please advise. Thanks.

All my neighbors have jiofiber at its default settings. I don’t have an android phone. Are there any other tools that I can use ? I get 30-40 mbps on 2.4 ghz , I am on 150 mbps plan. On 5 ghz , I get full speed. So wondering if the slow speed is related to channel interference.

@Dhiraj Strangely my friend when on 100mbps on the white dual band router was getting 65-75mbps on his phone & now with the blue dual band router on a 150mbps plan gets 45mbps on the same phone🤔 when the jio guys checked on their phone it was 135mbps coz their phone was a dual band phone

Has any one accessed the settings to change the wifi channel AND got better speeds. I tried it today & successfully changed to different channels for the 2.4ghz band but found NO absolutely difference in speeds as every channel for this band has min 2-3 to 7 connection at any given time. When jio fiber came to my colony last year we were getting 75-79mbps on the 2.4ghz band. I got 50-52 mbps today my friends/neighbors get around 45mbps irrespective of what plan they have😔

After the latest firmware update, change of channel is not possible. It does get saved but the change doesn't come into effect.
