atleast u are getting 4g signal with jio. In my area airtel signal is like a swinging pendulum , 5secs its 4g , next 5secs it will be 2g, next 5secs no range untill i turn aeroplane mode on and off

It used to be excellent till last dec after that its steady down hill. The lockdown has only made it worse. It now drains the battery w/o even using the phone.

I have heard that Samsung phones are probably best optimised for Jio as they use Samsung gears. This gives good Internet speeds.

I regularly get 80-90 mbps DL and 18-20 mbps UL with Jio SIM using TP-Link MR600 with 2CA (3+40 or 5+40 bands). At same location Jiofi gives about 15-20 mbps DL and 2-3 mbps UL
I am somewhat spoilt by the convenience of 4G hotspots with battery. If electricity goes, the internet still works. This is important for financial transactions, otherwise I don't care, I can just fire up the phone's hotspot if my router loses electricity. But I like the convenience a battery-powered hotspot provides when conducting financial transactions. I have had several occasions where electricity went but my transaction did not suffer due to my using 4G hotspot since some years.

But I am interested in MR600. So, any way I could hook this up with a battery? Would I need to use a UPS for it? Yes, continuous internet is really important for me as my entire work is online.

You could just plug it into whole home inverter if you have one. That's what I do for my router and server.

12v Battery will work too but it won't be a ups unless you have some additional circuit for connecting to mains and have it switch automatically.

Regular desktop ups isn't suited for this as it won't last long.

Regular desktop UPS will shut down if the load isn't high enough. Routers and modems alone won't work on them.

There are UPSs made specifically for that purpose though, tiny battery bank sized.
