Getting great speeds on Reliance Jio 4G

Ok so I dont know when this happened, but it seems that Jio has upgraded its equipment or something. Not sure tho, as it might just be due to low congestion, but I saw these INSANE speeds today:

I earlier used to get around 8-9 mbps at that same spot. Any plausible explanation?

@Starman maybe new tower has come up in ur area. Otherwise it's not possible isn't it
 
5g spectrum allocation has still not began. Might be upgraded equipment, new tower or a spike in test.
 
4G+ gives around 200mbps in good condition using 4x4 antenna . 80mbps is normal when you're nearby tower with good signal with not too many users. Anyways enjoy the speed 😀
 
I get these speeds normally but they go down to 1-2Mbps on some occasions. Most of the time Jio 4G speeds are decent in my area. Airtel 4G has slightly better speeds and more consistent than Jio in the same area.

I used to get speeds in the range of 80-90 Mbps when Jio was providing services to only those customers who bought Lyf branded phones. A less congested network seems to be the reason here as well.
 
Max DL speeds one can get in India are as follows:

  • Jio post & pre: 104 Mbps (strict)
  • Idea pre: Cap increased to 208 Mbps in TN circle. Most other circles it is at 150 Mbps
  • Vodafone pre: capped at 104 Mbps technically but can hit upto 120 Mbps
  • Vodafone post (RedX): No network preference now but could hit max possible speeds with priority service
  • Airtel post & pre: 200 Mbps, but a temporary removal of capping letting speeds hit max spectrum capability. I got 300 Mbps and a fellow contributor got upto 400+ Mbps.

Hi, I recently ordered a mr600 and waiting for it's delivery. Are you using any external antennas? How has been your experience with the device?
