CC says that this extender doesn't support Jio's 5Ghz Band. Is it true ?
Please somebody tell me how can i change channels or anything to make my Jio ONT 5Ghz network to connect to the Extender.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have TP-Link RE 205 and I'm using it to extend both bands of Jio Fiber network. It works fine, however, there is a bit of speed drop. On the old plans (100 Mbps), I would see a speed of 60-70 Mbps on the extended network, whereas it would be 90-95 Mbps on the original network. There is another forum member using the same extender, who got better speeds (almost the same as the original network). I think it may depend on the distance between the extender and Jio ONT.

Here's the solution. There is a workaround to change the channels on your JioFiber modem. I was able to figure out a way to change the channel on my Router to 48 and this apparently solved the problem. There is no direct way to change the wireless channel in the JioFiber modem as you cannot navigate from the published menus. Some googling revealed the work around. You need to log in to the web interface of the modem and then go to the search bar on top, type in basic and you get the options as shown in the picture. Here you have the option of changing the wireless channel. The default is "Auto", change it to 36/40/44/48 and save. The TP-Link will start detecting the signal. My problem with RE200 and the Archer T2UH were solved with this. Hopefully this should help JioFiber users grappling with this problem with TP Link devices.
