The Rs 1499 One Airtel plan combines the broadband and postpaid mobile services under one bill. The plan allows users to give 2 postpaid connections and offer 75GB data. Users also have the benefit of unlimited calling. The plan also offers fiber and landline services with unlimited internet at 200 Mbps speed. Along with this, the customers will also get a 1-year subscription of Amazon Prime Video and Airtel Xstream.
On the other hand, the Rs 1999 One Airtel plan combines four services in one bill. The services include mobile, broadband, landline and DTH service. Under this plan, Airtel postpaid users will get 3 postpaid connections with 75GB data and unlimited calls. The customers are also allowed to add TV channels of up to Rs 424 in the plan. It also provides fiber and landline services with unlimited internet at 200 Mbps speed. And this plan also offers a 1-year subscription of Amazon Prime Video and Airtel Xstream.

I think the least attractive part is no customization. I am not sure if everyone (in fact most people) can fit into any one of the fixed combinations.

This makes absolutely no sense for those with VDSL connection. For 1499, they can get,
1. VDSL 499 broadband plan with unlimited broadband and calls
2. Mobile postpaid 999 plan with 180 GB data, unlimited calls shared among 4 regular SIMs and 1 data only SIM.

1999 one airtel plan is worthy. Here is why :
1. 999 broadband plan
2. 500 DTH
3. 200 per mobile number* 3 = 600.
Total 2100.
Plus you get xstream box for free

1999 is the worst among the worst. Even If you add the individual cost of the services (₹2248), it is less than your monthly bill for 1999 Plan (₹2358).

what is the point of taking 999 Xfiber plan if you still have to spend another 500 for DTH (i.e. assuming that your area is served by fiber and not so so called V-fiber copper VDSL)

Well, you should be using all services - so yeah. Its a good consolidation strategy, but until you have some amount of flexibility - the takers are going to be less. For example, there is just 1 plan without DTH and it has just 2 postpaid connection options. So basically I need to have DTH or can have just 2 postpaid numbers - would make no sense for majority of the folks.

This is a good point, unless they can provide some customization, especially on the broadband for eg. a combination of speed+data, I fail to understand its advantage. It doesn't give you the highest speed or at least something as a distinguisher, to make you feel a priority customer. Its just a consolidation for Airtel but not for its consumers.

Airtel seriously needs to rethink its One Airtel plan strategy.
