I bought POCO M2 Pro, which comes with 33W adapter. 11V * 3A = 33W. I have an old Redmi Note 4 device, which uses 5v * 2A = 10W adapter to charge. What will happen if I connect my 10W phone into 33W adapter ?

33W charger Description given below.

some unsupported chargers have bricked devices, reportedly due to the Switch's maximum voltage being exceeded
- Quoting from the article
It's due to higher voltage being provided and not due to current.
and the problem described in the article is mainly due to improper/incomplete implementation of type C, and almost any decent implementation will refuse to change instead of being damaged.

It's similar to how initial batches of raspberry Pi 4 had problems with some power adapters

i have a sonoff smart switch ordered from AliExpress. 10a 220v.
Same is with wipro/acasa smart plug on Amazon. All in 10a. And mostly made in china.
Or made from equipment imported from china and assembled here. Like in wipro case plug is made in india while acasa a south delhi based co is made in china but smartlife app can be used with both. Though wipro has its own unpolished app too but is most probably white label app as most functions are same.
I think anchor is using china based stuff to assemble here.

I am talking about like above products...
These are sockets and are cheap..... Similar quality Chinese product will have high landing cost in India.

Smart switches and plugs which have embedded electronic circuits might be imported from China but not these...

technically phone should only charge at what its capable of and charger should not effect it if its high, but i had casio which i use to play as kid and when ever i increased its charge on that power adapter it came with, the adapter use to get burnt 😛 and dad/mom had to buy new one 😛

better use charger as per phone !
