Hey there!

I read a lot of problems regarding Railwire broadband. However, it would be great for me if you can list them here, especially regarding gaming and the overall stability (speed, downtimes, packet loss etc.).

I saw that a lot people were having issues with CODM and PUBGM, is that resolved? And are you facing problems even in PC games or only these two?

@yr_1009 It's good to hear that they respond to the tickets raised. Mine is open for weeks now.

@WandereR @ch@ndlerbing @yr_1009 Can you guys tell me which router you all are using?

Railwire guy told me that he will provide me with router which is also ONU. He did gave me an option to buy ONU and Router myself but the installation charge won't be reduced, which is ₹3,500.

And yes, he won't charge extra for the router and ONU.

However, I will need to give him extra amount if I ask him for 5 GHz router, as the one he will provide right now is only 2.4 GHz.

I use a iball router that was given by the LCO. Better to buy a dual band TP-Link router yourself.
I was thinking the same but then the LCO said that they won't reduce the installation charges (₹3.5k) for not getting the ONU+Router. The distance between nearest connection is like 800m, so I don't wanna force them either. 😂😂 So, I am thinking to use their router to test how it works here. If it is really good then I'll consider getting a new router.

@AkashDS If they have a fixed charge then get the ONU. Later if you need you can get another Router. They charged me 2500 as they already had their setup in my app, so wire length was not much. I have the dual band router but I use it via LAN on my laptop. Other 2 laptops and 4 mobile phones are connected via wifi.

I'm using 300 mbps TP-Link router. As I know I'm never gonna pay for 100mbps plan
I got the ONU for free, they asked 999 for the 2.4GHZ 300mbps router but I already had this router so I denied. My setup cost was also 2500

@Xecuter That varies a lot actually. Before I finally got my connection, I had contacted the LCO once and at that time, he said it would cost 4000-4500(during the initial lockdown).
