Hey there!

I read a lot of problems regarding Railwire broadband. However, it would be great for me if you can list them here, especially regarding gaming and the overall stability (speed, downtimes, packet loss etc.).

I saw that a lot people were having issues with CODM and PUBGM, is that resolved? And are you facing problems even in PC games or only these two?

CODM issue is resolved for me at least. I am not a gamer, I just play CODM for few minutes a day. Maybe some other gamer can answer your query properly. I didn't experience downtime in recent times, but do face connection drops of few seconds to 2-3 minutes long sometime.

PUBGM is unplayable. I Don't play CODM but I guess I might have issues with that too.

@AkashDS I raised serveral tickets but they haven't responded yet. I had issues with discord as well, where I could watch stream without any issues but the voice chat quality was poor. Even to this, no response.

Service depends on your region and LCO. My region is East(Bihar). My LCO is good and responds promptly but, the Railwire service hasn't been great compared to previous months. My default gateway is kolkata and that's where all the issues are. For the last few days, whole of Bihar was having speed issues. Their gateway was choking. Today, the situation is looking much better. Speeds are back to normal and the ping to SG servers are ranging from 69-75ms. Netflix speed is still poor and have been so, for the last month and half.

As far as the gaming is concerned I haven't had many issues excluding the last few days. I play Apex(PC) in the evening and the ping remains below 90(worst case). I don't play CODM on a regular basis but I did check it. It is working fine on my end. I don't know how to check its ping in-game though.

Online CC is pathetic, they don't respond to complaints anymore, but the toll free number works.

Yes I think the problem is at their Kolkata NOC. Netflix peering has stopped, CODM doesn't work. I didnt face any major speed issues (maybe since I have lower plan speed). Yesterday there was a downtime, my internet was disconnected for 2 hours without any prior information.

Regarding CC tickets, they automatically close tickets saying matter is transferred to concerned department though I dont see any follow up.

Yeah their customer service experience is becoming bad. If you are having some specific problems like mine of low speeds on Netflix can't really complaint to LCO. Railwire people doesn't respond too.
That's sad. ;-; I got only Railwire in my locality and not even 100% sure that they will provide the connection. 😂 So, I'm just preparing myself for all the issues I might face. 😂

Thanks for the information! I have been trying to find someone from my state (Chhattisgarh) to know how they serve here but seems like they are totally new here.

@kRuSnIk @ch@ndlerbing Yeah, the issues are with the Kolkata NOC. That's why JH,BR,OD users are affected the most. What I have observed that my pings and speeds to SG servers are more or less the same but those in EU, NA are poor. Also @kRuSnIk today the speeds are better maybe because of Saturday. I've observed normal behavior at night(after 12/1). Yeah the Netflix issues is with me as well. The other day someone shared his speeds and those were perfectly fine(for 100Mbps), I guess he was from GJ.

I believe Kolkata NOC should inform us about a tentative time for solving the issues. In that case, I would just get some VPN for a month or two as I have found better performance on a VPN than without VPN.
