I paid ACT Fibernet for 12 month plan in August. Is it possible to get refund for remaining days. So that i can switch to jio or airtel ?
No its not possible to get a refund.. Here in my city Visakhapatnam even if u apply for a disconnection they won't give u a refund... I don't know if this will apply for all cities better call cc and ask abt this.

If you're happy with the service, keep it and don't fall for this unlimited fad. I'm assuming you took a plan with a comfortable FUP and don't necessarily need more FUP.

I have ACT Fibernet's AMax (50 Mbps - 500GB) plan. But I checked my speed few minutes back. The download speed I'm getting is around 91 Mbps. However, upload speed is stuck at 50 Mbps. So, I think there is a possibility that they are planning to upgrade speed for their customers.

As others suggested, stay with ACT if you are really satisfied with the speed and reliability, else the refund stuff with ACT(or any ISP) and all disturbs mental peace !! If you are really facing any issues with ACT, then think of alternatives else a strict NO.

FUP is just a marketing trick afaik, though it matters for heavy streamers and downloaders, otherwise a medium user's usage will be around 350-500 GB permonth (Generalised, with 4K Tv streaming).

I have used ACT for 8 years and then switched to excitel by looking at their plan prices and realised "What you get depends on what you pay" be it speeds or the behaviour(LCO's).

I switched back to ACT and applied for refund from Excitel. !!

I had made a payment that went through in the portal a few months back. They couldn't locate the payment, so got the transaction number from the bank and gave it to them. Every time they close the ticket with conflicting reports and no call back. When I follow through, either they say it has been reversed or that it has already been credited to the account, neither of which is true. Raised it till the appellate level, who responded "as per the records, your billing issue is resolved". It is merely an issue of comprehension from their side, they can't even understand what to look for even after explaining it in the most detailed way possible. Frustrating.
Raised a disconnection request successfully yesterday and was transferred to the retention team who seems to be one notch above normal support agents in competence and efficiency. He patiently listened to what I had to say, seemed to understand my problem, genuinely apologized and promised to take note of the feedback. I had given up any hopes of getting this resolved but now I can see that the amount has been reversed back to my payment source.

@Jay I guess this is the right way to get your problems resolved if their CC shows incompetence.

@rajil.s same for me, they didn't offer me increase in data cap against disconnection request. I have paid for 6 months, 2 months have completed. If they don't increase ,I think switching to someone other network might become an option.
