I got my pc checked recently and there is a lot of damage on motherboard and ram due to humidity/dampness in air.

After some search I found some asrock motherboard have dehumidifier functions which basically automatically turn on your pc fans for a while at regular intervals to prevent condensation.

I was thinking can anyone suggest a solution to keep a custom fan in exhaust mode on overnight using external power supply using a adapter or something.

For now I have ordered some dehumidifier packets from flipkart (absorbia). It turns into gel by absorbing moisture. Hoping it will work for atleast 30 days inside the pc case. Couldn't find a review similar to my requirement. So let's see how long it lasts.

In winter this problem gets worst soon pc will stop booting in morning as it happens every year for me.

My friend's RAM sticks go bad due to rust. This problem is real!

No motherboard last more than 1 year for me. Few months ago had to get my graphics card replaced. Now again pc has started having booting issues for no reason.

Wasted 1200 to get it thoroughly checked by a technician only to find there is no solution and I should just try to use this pc as long it works. There is no clear damage which anyone can fix, corrosion slowly damages it beyond any possible repair.

Condition of ram was worst it looked like someone scratched the whole coating.

Get humidity protection mobos from gigabyte. My previous 3 Intel mobos went bad due to rust, got gigabyte in 2008 and it worked fine till last year when the computer engg decided to screw it. Got the same model and it's working fine.
Gels are another thing which helps keep moisture at bay.
Try to occasionally scrub the ram pins with an eraser to remove the rust/dirt.

Though they won't function the way you mentioned about asrock as you mentioned but they are long term solution as they avoid short circuit due to rust.

@Lamborghini

can you link which board you have?

With gel I am hoping to keep pc case moisture free during night time when its off, as when its running moisture will not accumulate on parts. About rusting on RAM I don't know what to do I guess as you said cleaning it once in a while will help.

My. Friend had a similar issue this monsoon with his logitech mouse not functioning during Mumbai rains and a bit cold weather. He used to use an hair dryer to warm the pcb and it would start functioning. Maybe you could try the same with your mobo. Ensure the air stream is not powerful to damage the circuitry. A gentle flow of warm air to heat up the mobo could do the job during winters.

Erasers help to rub of temperory rust. A gentle action 5-6 times should suffice. But it's a hit or miss. If the rust/corrosion action has already began you can't do much about it.
