Airtel Xstream app on Nvidia Shield/Mi Box/Sony Android TV/Any Android TV OS

Those who are on Airtel Fiber/ADSL/VDSL connection, if you have any TV with official Android TV OS(Sony, HiSense, Vu etc) or Box with official Android TV OS(Mi Box, Nvidia Shield etc), could you please install this app on your device and check if you are getting all the premium shows and movies for free?


Usually, this needs a yearly subscription with subscriptio fee of Rs499/year. This Android TV OS app was chargeabe even for those with Premium mobile postpain plans and broadband customers. It would be good to see if they have made it free for broadband customers as part of OTT offerings with the new broadband plans.

Probably Airtel would integrate all the OTT apps in this app. That way you wouldn't really need their xstream box with DTH to access OTT contents.

So, did anyone try it on Android TV? What services are available inside the app?

I am using it on Hathway's Playbox & there is stuff that is mostly I dont watch - Shemaroo, Eros Now, Hungama, Ultra, Hoichoi . I think Voot was added more recently - but not Colors programs, but more of the other content I think.

Curiosity Stream and Share It were also there as per earlier discussion, but I think it may have changed. I can search if these two are there, if anyone wants to know.

Happened to check Airtel Website, the 499 and 799 plans have Voot Basic, Shemaroo, Eros Now, Hungama, Ultra, Hoichoi. 999 plans and above have Lionsgate extra.

Looks like Curiousity Steam, Share it are out. I think Zee5 was also there briefly. Hooq was there long ago ofcourse.
