How to update email id for airtel esim?

Hi,

I just got my sim card replaced yesterday and the SMS service is blocked for 24 hours.

I actually want to update the email linked to my AirTel connection so I can activate eSim.

Since I cannot send SMS can I go to the Airtel store to get my email updated?

Or better, can I get an eSim from the Airtel store without sending any SMS?
 
They are pretty fked up in theirs IT systems for quite sometime now. Previously support use to cover it up, after lockdown even that is down the drain.

@pranjal53 login to your account via web browser: Airtel Login : Pay Airtel Bill Online - Login Airtel My Account. When you login, you can see your name on top. It says something like Hi, <your name>. Click on on it and select my profile. Under profile, you will see two tabs. One says Profile and other one says Account. If you try to update your email from profile section it won't work. However, if you click on Account tab, you will see your mobile number. There is a plus sign to expand. If you click on that, you can see your address and email ID. If you ever registered email ID with Airtel, it would appear there. If it appears there, then your email ID is already registered with them.

Maybe i can shed some light.
recently i got iPhone, my primary is vodafone postpaid and secondary is Airtel prepaid.
Now i needed esim for airtel.
have gone through everything.
twitter CC but nothing worked.
i decided to go to airtel store located at Sector 50 Noida.
lady there outright denied saying esim service is no more available for prepaid customer. I was shocked had a little debate, then she asked me to migrate to postpaid. Sales trick. I ran from there.
I came home i started writing email to 121@airtel.com because i didn’t believe that lady

I always got automated reply that we cant process your request because email is not registered.
so i was stuck in weird paradox. I am requesting to update my email and the request itself needed email update to proceed.
i did multiple things.
i took things to Twitter.
flooded in DM.
Then kept writing email
to 121@in.airtel.com and 121@airtel.com
Finally recieved this email one day. (SS attached)
It was because of the emails i sent. Somehow after sending multiple email i was able to get past though automated response.
So keep trying buddy

Lemme guess, was a short fair skin chubby girl or medium height wheatish girl? Both of them push for postpaid up sale in that store.
Next time, you can ask her to call Himanshi, that's their store manager. She is super helpful

I tried the account thing mentioned by @gopichandpai and it didn't work for me! The account tab had no email id registered with my number. Even the customer ID is blank!

I'll try sending them mail everyday and see what happens! Hopefully they will update the email id.

Looks like I am stuck as airtel replied to my mail saying
For your account security, we would request you to call us at our customer care number 121 and get your email ID registered against your number.

It is a complete mess, ported a sim. Forgot to add the email while filling eCAF. I thought it was easier, sent an SMS

EMAILUPDATE emailid to 121 Got a SMS saying I have to call 121 which I did, the guy took my email and ask me to wait till 23rd September.. on 9AM I’ll get a call for verification and then they will update my email.

It’s a mess lmao! I would prefer going to a store (like Jio). It was easier back then.

This was the mail that I got. I hope it doesn't take 3 weeks for me too!!!
Does this seam like a canned reply?

Tried that, didn’t get an option to update email id. The airtel app shows that the email id is verified and yet 121 still shows no email id registered
Try calling 1925 -> select language -> press 9->again press 9( it will directly take to CC agent, Dont listen to instructions given)
