Jio effect. Plans actually look pretty great but their network has been pretty choked up lately, shame.

One thing is for sure from above plans. They want to lock people in long term plans to let this jio storm pass.

I am new here, and I created this account here only to let you know that I do get pretty good speed with Asianet Broadband.
I actually do get a speed of 100Mbps(Rs 749 plan + 200 TAX). I attached images below as a proof. My download speed and upload speed are as below.

Dwn: 102.75Mbps Upld: 99.97 (Using Speedtest.net) Proof image: Speedtest
Dwn: 120 Mbps Upld:92Mbps(Using Fast.com) Proof Image: Fast

I did test this at 9:10 PM and I receive upto 10MBps when downloading from some servers.

Because of the lockdown plan I get around 4096 GB per month (before it was 400GB) for the same plan. Proof:

Before i switched to their fiber optics plan even my speed was shitty(1 MBps) and every time there is rain of strong wind something will happen to the connection. I used to compain very often and they will send someone to repair. When I was actually planning to shift to Airtel, the Asianet guys send someone to change the modem and cable(I had to pay some extra money around 500-700 for this entire process, which was half of the actual installation charge).

So i would refer Asianet to anyone who is staying near Palarivattom and I don't know about others. ANd for others those who are experiencing slow connection ask them to provide fiber connection(When using fiber you'll get atleast 80% of the promised speed when compared with regular cable( where you get only 25% of promised speed)).

Thanks for the speedtest but since most of them are local speedtests can you share screenshots for speedtest to the below servers.
1. GTT London (or Berlin if London doesn't show up)
2. Spectrum NY

Share for both modes single and multi connections

I know people who are still on docsis who get upto 100mbps (terrible latency tho) and I know people who live in Kochi city who get 16mbps on their 100mbps fiber connections. Still would absolutely not recommend them.

For me, they did not change my plan to the current one (with more data). I had to send an email to get it changed. There are no charges for the plan change. IMO, they should change the plan automatically to the newer ones for all customers.

Asianet can do better with plans, they dont have any monthly plan that gives 200/300 Mbps. A 200 mbps monthly plan under 1K will be a killer.

Asianet also needs to improve upon their equipment for sure, you can still get 200 mbps within 20-30mtr radius provided you switch to 5ghz wireless on IEEE 802.11ac standards. Look at JIO, they are providing a dual-band router during installation with refundable deposit.

Their current Genexis 4410 model is bare bone basics with lots of security vulnerabilities. I would not advise to go for this model for free also, if you are a new subscriber ask for the dual band model. You can check the below links for vulnerabilities noted by NISt database (US Gov site) also, potentially a hacker can take over the admin privilege's.

Solution: Do not accept Genexis 4410 model ask for the next series.

How to reproduce
===================
Suppose 192.168.1.1 is the router IP and check view page source of login page “http://192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/index2.asp",There we can found passwords for each login accounts in clear text.

LMAO, finally we can point all finding Genexis password posts to this link
