Ofcourse they aren't going to do anything about it. You don't pay, you can't use, that's it.

Those talking about the equipment, you paid a security deposit, remember? So yeah, they don't care about that too.

The answer is that nothing happens. Atleast nothing has happened in my case. I have not recharged for the past 8 months or so. The ONT is still here along with the STB
I had the old jiofi modem. Since I have jiofiber now, I was not recharging it for the past 6 months. 7month onwards, i got a message that the
sim has been invalid and that sim number disappeared from my online jio account. Same thing may happen in case of Jio fiber. You may not recharge for 8 months and the router may be with you. Only when you go to recharge it, you may face difficulties....

@abhitour
"5. In case of non-recharge at the end of recharge validity period of 30 days, RJIL reserves the right to provide the plan benefits in a curtailed manner
at its own

discretion during the grace period of upto 30 days. Further, in case of non-recharge at the end of 90 days from the last recharge, RJIL reserves the right
to

disconnect the services at its discretion"

found this on the plan vouchers PDF under T&C of 150Mbps trial plan
as 150Mbps is A part of new Jiofiber plans
I think this is applicable for all plans
FTTX-PVs-151020.pdf (akamaized.net)

I had the connection, surrendered and took deposit back. My fiber and box inside my home however not removed, as the fiber is not reusable. Also in case I want to restore my connection, it is easy for me and also to jio.

Was the incoming connection still working?

I have a Jio connection as a backup. I didn't recharge it for 15 days or so and it still has the incoming call facility active. I just want to see until when can I extend it without losing the number or connection.

I highly doubt they won't care if you don't do a recharge for a certain period. As even the DOCSIS based LCOs warn you that if you don't do a recharge for over three months they will take the cable and equipments off of your house on the ground of inactivity. Too early to confirm anythng for Jio though.
I think then they will have to reinstall it after every few months 🤣🤣
