Tata Play 1 gbps, Microscan 500 mbps and PDPL 300 mbps.
Anyone else here still not getting the full download and/or upload speeds as per their plan?

I am on plan 1277 which earlier was giving me more than 100 mbps download and upload speeds but for the past few months (maybe during lockdown) I am getting only around 70-80 mbps download and around 40-50 mbps upload speeds.

I've checked various stuff, like my optical signal is same as before (-25 dBm), even tried a different ONU etc, now submitted a complaint on PGPortal and contacted my LCO they say they will check, lets see.

Anyone else facing this issue or you getting full speeds?

i was already aware about this so i contacted lco on first day of lockdown remove and got connection actual speed from that day

No caps at all, the full plan speed was restored many couple of months back. Surprised that it's still capped for you.

Here in Kerala, they didn't even cap those on the 1277 plan, their argument was, those customers are paying so much so how can we cap it. I was told this by some BSNL official based on my BSNL PG complaint. 😅

Hmmm. I had got a call from someone in bsnl head office in Pune who claims no speed cap applied to my account and my lco also says all fine on olt etc. So I'm perplexed unless one of them is lying.

Hmm. Nope just have one desktop, tried on win10 and linux both show ethernet link speed as 1gbps.

Tried on laptop with wifi link speed at least 300 mbps same issue.

Few months ago I used to consistently get 110 to 120 mbps on various local speed test.

1277 plan removed from some states atleast I can confirm for jharkhand. I have got my connection activated just yesterday so i was checking plans regularly on their site and today when i open i dont see that plan anywhere.
They might be launching new plans after the jio and airtel move or it might be some circle specific changes.

I just spoke to someone in BSNL Pune main office to ask about my speed issue (he is saying most likely my LCO has too many customers and not enough bandwidth) and I asked him about any new plans to counter Airtel/Jio latest unlimited high speed plans.

He said couple of plans are "approved" - 1249 plan for 200 mbps 1.5 TB FUP and some other lower cost plan I didn't hear properly 40 mbps I think for 599 and it is "unlimited".

There are more plans proposed but not approved (based on feasibility) higher speeds like 300 mbps and up to 500 mbps. He said BSNL core network can easily provide 1 gbps unlimited plans but main problem is the LCO/vendor network and their OLT/hardware needs to be able to handle this load - that is the main problem for BSNL to deploy new plans.

edit: he also mentioned some lower speed plans which would be unlimited - 30 to 40 mbps - are being proposed.

anyways, i have very little hope of getting my original speeds back, already the guy in BSNL main office said 70-80 mbps is "good enough" and they couldn't care less about it. only last remaining hope is if my LCO can do anything about it but even he said nobody else is complaining to him, it's only me.

still clueless whether it's a problem at my end (something like optical signal level or ONT/wiring/desktop issue) or something at either LCO/OLT end or these NIB/NOC people have capped something and forgotten to restore it.

@vishalrao for me as its at my parents home i dont know if they used to get 100mbps before lol , so rn for me i think bottleneck is ont , will get a better one when new plans arrive, asked exchange people for ont with gigabit port but getting reply " we dont have em in supply " maybe cuz they are going with lco model now (my connection was from exchange so using their ont).
