Yes. It can stop working anytime. Previously even in my account, the unlimited data showed an expiry of 5th October. But after few days the expiry date was changed to 13th February (my main plan expiry). So they are again 'gradually' fixing this for everyone it seems.

So my plan expired today but internet still working,my jio app showing unlimited data upto october 5
Same thing happened to me. I was really happy as my speeds were still 500Mbps but it only lasted 2 days. Let's see how long yours lasts.

Looks like it really is a bug as its showing as an add on not as a main plan which was added earlier to every old customer,i am sure it will stop working anytime soon
It couldn’t be a bug though, since I confirmed with CS, they’re providing the add-on as a monthly plan, 5/09 - 5/10

In their FAQs, they have mentioned that existing customers will get the complimentary speed and data benefits "for the validity of their existing plan". So they may stop this benefit when our plan expires. It would be a welcome surprise if they continue this benefit for a month. It would be as if the old customers are also getting a "free trial". My current plan expires tomorrow afternoon. Will come to know then.

@praz It's being done in phases. Mine got updated last night while i was looking at others for the last 3 days. There's no other way you can push that except lodging a complaint with CC. It's a server side change and doesn't require a router reboot.
i am not talking about speed upgrade, I am not even getting old speed forget the new speed, my current download speed is 10 Mbps

Here is what happened with me yesterday:

200 GB voucher expired from the old plan (yesterday morning 8 am approx) and suddenly my speed dropped to 2-3 Mbps .... I checked with My Jio app new updated plan was active with 3.22 TB data but I was not getting the speed, restarted the router multiple times .... Didn't help ...

Called Jio customer care 4 times, 2 times call got disconnected as soon as I explained them problem ... one lady made me disconnect all my third party router and told me to use one Jio wifi router (I got frustrated and she got frustrated ... she scheduled an engineers visit for today. (believe me I feel Jio has most tech illiterate technical support as far as my experience with them so far).

after so much frustration .... about 30 minutes after I disconnected the call .... My speed came back, now I am getting speeds between 110-140 up and down (after 7 pm)

I don't know what/how Jio is doing with this whole speed upgrade thing, but it was not smooth for me. I bet there are many like me.

People here are talking about upgraded speed, where as my connection for last 3 days my speed is no more than 15 Mbps, Talking to their CC is of no use and I can't arrange for anyone to come in my society, as my society has not yet given permission for anyone from outside to visit houses.

So is there anyway I can work this out myself ? I have tried switching on/off router, I have the old white router 4500 deposit one.
I believe you finished your old plan before the expire date .... as you were expecting that Jio has already upgraded you to new plan.

Just an update. Same thing has happened with me. My old bronze plan (with upgraded upload speed and unlimited data) was to expire today afternoon. On checking MyJio app just now, the old plan has expired. But the unlimited data add-on is still active and my 100Mbps speed hasn't reduced. The add-on shows validity till October 5th. I guess they are giving existing users also a trial.

@crymetyme is your internet still working without you recharging?
