Existing subscribers of Reliance Jio Fiber: Have you been upgraded to new truly unlimited plans?

He has been conned by the jio guy. What has been done here is, he has been provided a new connection with request for disconnection of old connection.

Corporate plans were the same as old home connection plans with the same data caps(i don't know what's the point of calling it 'corporate'). However, the bronze plan wasn't available. They didn't provide STB either. Its postpaid only and you can't pay through My Jio app. You have to be dependent on the guy who gave the connection for every little thing. Contacting customer care was a pain as well. They have a separate number for corporate connection and it takes 15-20 minutes on an average to connect to their 'engineer'. I got it disconnected and shifted to home connection. Don't know if they have changed corporate plans as well with new home plans.
 
corporate plans are same as prepaid plans, no stb, no ottp apps but same price.
It's postpaid. cc is worst. In twitter or some where other guys don't respond, we have to contact cc team only.

i canceled my corporate connection.Taken stb and it's been 45 days still they didn't refund my amount.
 
He had the old dual band JCO500 (installed in Jan 2019) which should have supported the Gold 999/- plan with 150mbps speed (correct me if I am wrong on this).
@mate His was not on the corp plan, just plain old plans given to all of us in residential areas in 2019. His o;d devices (router & STB) are still with him & I am also skeptical about the so called refund.

@mikrotik I think so too. He dosnt even know if the cancellation has been initiated by the guy who came to his house. My friend said he himself definitely didn't & he is waiting for his money 💩😱
@MadAxe Sad part is when I asked my friend if he was given the new connection on old ID or new. He said he didn't know😳. He is quite a tech challenged guy who is totally ignorant of all things tech & is not even inclined to learn atleast to stopped getting duped. He asked me to come to his house to fix his speed problem but there's nothing to be done at his end as he has been suckered hook line & sinker, he dosnt even have a PC in his house everything is done via phone. So I figure he will be conned again about his speed because he is checking speeds on wifi & not a direct connection to the modem. Now he only has to focus on getting his promised speed & getting his 4500/- back. Now he has been given the JCO4032 model about the STB I done know.

Today he tells me he had disconnected his Jio STB coz he was on Airtel DTH. When he decided to shift to jio OTT’s (reason for shift is another long tragic comedy) instead of just disconnecting the Airtel STB & reconnecting the JIO STB & changing his plan, he called up Jio customer care with his entire sob story & they took him for ride from there onwards. 😱 😳 💩💩💩


He was asking me if could connect his old devices back when I tried to tell him tech reasons about how things work. He just got irritated with me as if I was the reason for his shift.🤔😏

Feel sorry for your friend, but I believe this would be the same story for those who are totally technically challenged. You can't blame them for their lack of knowledge.
 
Now he wants me to come to his hse when the jio guy comes. I guess he wants me to play the bad cop. I told him he should not be have guests at times like this. Not knowing is not the problem, its not wanting to know & expecting someone else to pull his chestnuts out of the fire which is a problem.🙄
