Amazon/Verizon considering investing in Vodafone Idea

idea shut down their company owned outlet in my market few weeks ago. i think the vodafone mini store owned by a local guy was not operational today. i guess it was being revamped.

Yeah. For sure, remember that airtel thing but this one is just weird. VI doesn’t do anyone any good. They needed a different name to create a stronger image that Vodafone Idea have merged..VI is not it chief!
 
I am sort of amused on how this rebranding is being taken so seriously. The company itself is as good as dead unless they get the much needed investment from someone like Amazon or Verizon like the ongoing rumors.
 
Best thing they can do is start VoWifi to retain their base atleast in cities...

True. Investment is what they needed! A different name would have paved way for Vodafone to exit as the Vodafone UK has stated it would no longer invest in Vodafone India.

And I think the branding is being taken seriously because they said they’d make ”strategic announcement“ so that sparked some interest!
