Hey Folks!
Our LCO is used with a single band modem + router for fiber connections and since they didn't have any modem in stock, I decided to get one from outside which was unfortunately a double band modem + router. I thought it was good to have until I came to know that our LCO doesn't know how to set up it as he is used to configuring only Netlink modem and other cheap Chinese unbranded modems.

So when he tried to configure my modem for the first time in his job, other connections within that ISP in my area are getting cut-off and people are calling him and shouting that they are not getting any signals, bla-bla-bla.
So he is now in fear of how to handle this modem. Can anyone guide me on what will be the difference between setting up a single-band and dual-band modem?

My modem is Genexis Earth 4222. I can send the screenshot of my modem's configuration page if that would be helpful in troubleshooting. Any guidance on this is much appreciated as i'm having very hard times in my JOB as WFH

Thanks in advance 🙏

Never mind. This had issues to do with modem firmware, not the bands. Firmware causes lots of problems it seems. An update solved the problem.
