'Depending on your jio package'.......
So it is possible that they might provide the other Netflix subscriptions along with the Diamond+, Platinum or Titanium plans. Just a thought....

If you see the screenshot of the plan details on Jio website, all the plans from Diamond onwards say that they will include 12 OTT apps worth 1500 monthly subscription. This indicates that they may give the same Netflix plan even with the higher Jio Fiber plans. Don't know if this will change later.

This post sums up the value of the 1499 pack. Personally, I feel it is better to get 999 pack along with a Netflix premium pack (800) shared between 4 people (which comes to 200 a month). If speed bump to 300 Mbps is needed, then only one should opt for 1499 plan, and receive Netflix SD plan as a bonus.
A small error you need to know. I wasn't aware of the fact that NF 500 plan didn't have HD. So the breakup I give is wrong.

Seems unlikely as they don't even provide Hotstar Premium subscription under any plan. But I really wish they should provide these premium subscription to the higher plans atleast.

@bigman91 I noticed your error, but in spite of that, what you have said still holds true. To be honest, I think for people having a 4k TV, and a 4k STB, giving the Netflix SD plan is not so beneficial. It's as good as going in for 999 plan and taking Netflix for 500 separate. I know there is a speed bump from 150 to 300 Mbps, but for most people, I don't think that speed bump is that significant.

If you have a group of 4 trustworthy friends to share the Netflix Ultra HD plan (which allows 4 simultaneous streams), then it comes to 200 per month. Just add that on to the 999 plan, and you end up spending 1199 per month, for all of the OTT apps, along with Netflix Ultra HD.

You are again missing the point.
If you take diamond at 1500 and pay 300 to upgrade netflix to uhd. Share netflix with 3 other people and you still be paying 1200 with 300mbps speed.

Guys, don't forget to add 18% GST.

999 plan costs ₹ 1179, one need to pay 180 extra
1499 plan costs ₹ 1769, one need to pay 270 extra

Yes that is one way of looking at it. I just hope consumers are aware of all possibilities before choosing any of these plans.

If they provide UHD pan with Platinum, that's it for me then. 😀

@zervinb : New plan is 3499+GST, not 3999+GST (yet to be updated on app). And yeah, I am on UHD since NF launched in India. But if the whole plan is getting covered under the Platinum plan (for which the difference between Diamond+ and Platinum will be 1000 INR), then for my use 1 Gbps makes sense.
