Do you think BSNL is finished ?

If we go by this logic...then Apple, Google, Microsoft, Tesla have also made mistakes in the past and of far greater magnitude than what BSNL has. I don't see them sinking anytime soon.
For every 5 companies that make a comeback, 500 go bankrupt.
The odds are very firmly in favor of BSNL sinking. Of course the govt may keep them alive but for how long can a loss making PSU survive?

BSNL has hundred problems all of which can be worked out, but as long as the hands holding the steering wheel have no clue which direction to go, it's a waste of time.
In my first post here, I said it.
Until the top BSNL management is shunted out, expect nothing.

I am looking to switch to a proper fibre broadband from my current piece of garbage alliance. I was thinking of opting for BSNL 777 plan. As last year I noticed that plan was said to be giving UL usage with 50 mbps speed. So that's not the case anymore I take? Should I opt for Reliance Jio then?

If you can afford to wait then take feedback from here as to how Jio is performing post new plans. Also see if you are fine with the limitations provided with Jio and if there are workarounds for the same. If everything is fine, then go ahead.
There is also a trial feature available with Jio so you can also opt for that and see for yourself.
Every ISP will have some pros and cons. You will have to see for yourself that they check the most boxes for you.

jio is much cheaper. BSNL is ₹777 50mbps 500GB FUP. Jio is ₹699 100Mbps 3300GB FUP. Also, your BSNL LCO may charge you a bomb for installation. just go with JioFiber.

He wanted 4500 from me excluding the security deposit. I start to BSNL ADSL until jio came, now I see is offering the same for 500 excluding security deposit

I kinda have a feeling that BSNL would become what Indian Railways is right now. Just for the sake of citizens, govt will keep infusing money in into the loss ridden company. For a large part of the country the only wired internet provider is BSNL.

Oh dear they started capping the data on the 777 plan then. What's the post FUP speed though? 🙁 I need a connection which will give me the lowest ping, last time I had some other people check ping on some CS servers I play at, the results were really good. So I need to check the same servers' ping on Jio FTTH as well. Hence my other topic.

Yes I can wait a couple of months more, but my query was mainly regarding the 777 plan and whether or not it still provides UL usage.
Given the current circumstances jio fiber is the best option
Ok thanks bruv.

This 120GB 491 combo is purely a DSL broadband plan and available for 6 months as a promotional offer from the date of activation....
DSL customers are the 1st to apply disconnection moment Airtel or Jio comes in.
