I have a Airtel GPON ONT Huawei HG8145V5. Can you PLEASE help me with unlocking it, so that I can use it with other Cable ISPs? any information, links or guides will be greatly appreciated! I am badly in need of it! Thanks in advance!

I got one for myself. I have been able to configure the BSNL Internet and VoIP WAN profiles. They are both live. But the Voice profile settings are all grey with ims.airtel.in as the default domain. I am unable to change these.
Can anyone help?

Hi, I've been following this thread for quite a while since I also had got an Huawei HG8145v5 GPON ONT Airtel from a friend of mine and was planning to set it up for my Asianet FTTH connection here in Kottayam. I was able to successfully get it connected for Internet usage with the help of my ISP. All i did was the below:
1) I got the Huawei HG8145v5 GPON ONT Airtel from my friend via courier.
2) I called my ISP. He came home set up the WAN attributes, took a picture of the MAC,S/NO of the router and went back to his office.
3) At his office, on his Asianet admin portal, my internet line triggered a request for connectivity from the newly setup router for which he had to validate the incoming using MAC, S/No. and approve the request.
4) The moment he approved the request, my internet was up and running and rendered the same speeds as promised (in my case 100 Mbps.

Hope it helps for folks who've commented stating they're unable to use it/their ISP denied the usage stating carrier lock.

I got the same issue. The only dual band ONT available with Keralavision was Huawei HG8145V5. But as mentioned above the voip/sip configurations is disabled for editing. Reset device is not helping. Only option i see is firmware flashing or airtel itself have to set it remotely via their ACS server.

Any one got any solution?
it can be used in any network

Kudos to the person who made this video. However, personally I will not flash a firmware without knowing where it came from and some md5 signature verification. Router is the most important component in the network, and if it gets compromised your whole security is out of the window.

I have had this and tried a lot of the things. Sadly, that video and any other certain videos more or less, all seem to foretell that various different versions of the firmware of this router need a different version of the unlock tool along with the proper crack for the said same version of firmware installed on it. Mine was sadly on r16 and sadly, could do nothing at all.

Plenty of mentions of it on chinese forums which I could not access without having to pay to some shady guy to get me access to those, well, all so damned chinese forums. So, not much luck with Huawei products depending on your luck in getting a firmware for which there's a hack available.
