Does anyone have experience using a passive PoE power injector? I am contemplating on buying a passive PoE power injector from Amazon.in (see below):

The question I have is, does this support Gigabit speed or does it support only 10/100 Mbps speeds? Its not clear from the specifications.

Thanks in advance for any insights?

I have one of these, its only 10/100, ethernet only has four wires

Rest four are used for power.
Lower voltages (12V) will degrade much quicker compared to higher voltage PoE 24v/48v due to resistance.

Make sure the cable quality is good and not too long before buying this.

Thanks @JB700 . That was very helpful.

I think I'll go for an active injector.

I need to supply 5V. Do you have a view on this:

Ah yeah, I forgot to mention that. TP-Link also has a splitter Robot Check

which allows to split power back from PoE. Without splitter it won't work without 802.3af support
