I thought for OneCard, it's max of 1% provided there are two or more categories of spends and not 2%.

Slice too has 1% and cumulative spends over time make it 2%

OneCard - You can unlock 5X Multiplier by spending on three different categories.

Not sure what Sushubh is talking about though.

Right three categories. So essentially it's 1% on top two categories and 0.2% on third and more and if you spent only on two categories then it's just 0.2% on all. So rewards-wise Amazon pay is better.

Yeah, and that's what the company says.

With OneCard, your reward points are issued instantly, and they get displayed in the OneCard app. For every Rs. 50 spent, you get 1 reward point.

But 10 Ps = Rs.1

The only benefit of using this card is while available offers and unlocking 5x multiplier by spending on three different categories.

Main issue people experience is that it's not accurate in reporting categories. For instance, my transactions on Swiggy show as grocery.

There has to be a 3rd category on which you will not get 5x, in other words which you will get 0.2% - effectively making it overall not 1%.

In any month, if you transact in 3 or more different categories, then for the top 2 Categories your rewards points will be multiplied by 5.

For example: If you transact for ₹500 for Ordering Packet Food Items (Grocery), ₹500 for Booking Movie Tickets,(Entertainment), and ₹100 for Train Tickets (Travel) Booking in any month, then, for your Grocery and Entertainment category, Rewards Points will be 5x the usual 0.2% rate. So, you will be getting 1% rewards points for those two categories. That is 5 Reward Points each for Grocery and Entertainment, and 0.2 Reward Points for Travel.

The categories where you will receive 5x points (1% rewards points) will keep changing depending on your purchase type. It will auto-select the top 2 categories at the end of each month. Source: hitricks.com

@mhsabir Which CC have you found to be the best in regards to rewards?

Well, depends on the needs - I guess. As there are specific cards for fuel, travel, dining etc.

In terms of simple rewards calculations that I have is Axis Ace, which gives 5% on bill payments/recharges via Google Pay and 2% on all other rewards. It also has 4% on some other platforms like Swiggy, Uber etc. You might get better cards for swiggy, uber alone, but a general 2% on all in Axis Ace seems good for general purchases. It does have a catch - need to spend 2 lakhs in a year for no annual fee (of 499).

I agree. Ace is one of the best cards in its class if not the best. Makes the deal even sweeter with grab deals and the fact the cashbacks get added back on to your card. 2L i agree is on the higher side but electricity bill alone makeup for a major chunk of that portion(and the cashback thereof should pay for the annual charge 😀)

They did give me a much lower limit than other cards but I don't have a need for extreme large purchases via this card - so it's fine. Not sure if it happened to me alone or in general they give less limits.

I got 1.75 which I think is just about ok considering the card is just is 3-4 months old and no account with axis but ya even the recently acquired rbl Zomato one gave me 3L n compared to what hdfc gives its peanuts..I read somewhere that if one applies card to card basis they give you a good limit. Wish i had done that
