how to stay connected to 4g+ network?

i am using realme x2 pro.
when i am on 4g network, speed is 500Kbps -1 or 2 Mbps. On 4g+ network, speed is 15-20Mbps. My phone is always on 4g network. To get 4g+ , i have to restart my phone and then it automatically latches onto 4g+ .
and then when it is connected to 4g+ network, to stay connected to 4g+, i have to actively use the internet. If i stop using the internet then connection falls back to 4g, speeds drop and then i have to restart my phone again.

How do i stay connected to 4g+ all the time automatically without having to restart my phone and stay connected to 4g+ even when i am not using the data?

U cannot ,its automatically done form the airtel end depending on the network band network congestion and all. U have no control over it as far as I know

A phone supporting CA in true sense doesn't require you to switch on off your device to latch to band supporting 4g+. I remember one of the members(either here or Realme community) mention that X2 pro though supports CA on paper but not in true sense, hence need for restart.

When I was using Jio(mumbai)on my Nokia 7 plus, it would always latch to 4g+, use it or not. Even using Vodafone sim on roaming to Delhi/Haryana always used CA, again use the net or not. I cannot comment about Airtel as it doesn't support CA in my place.
From what I can say from users feedback, part problem is from Realme itself, due to poor support for CA. I think others who are more knowledgeable may be able to pinpoint the exact cause.

For ca , phones sends a request to the bts to do ca when the mobile data is turned on itself . Its upto bts to decide whether to do ca ,which will be based on real time snr, rsrp/rsrq values. The phones signal reception strength also plays a very important part in this .

@Aakash Malhotra I have an iPhone 8 with jio sim. It also activates ca only when using or downloading something, else on idle there is no ca.
NOTE-It is a qualcomm modem unlocked phone and not intel modem which you get in India.

I have s8 which is 3 years old model. When outdoor it always latches with 2ca and is always showing lte+.

So I was in gurgoan, phone automatically connected to 4g+ and it stayed connected. Was getting 40Mbps
I think the signal for ca is faint around my house. Like it is there but very weak.

I have Jio SIM in Archer MR600. It catches 2CA in some locations of the house but does not catch in other spots. Seems it shift to 2CA when the signal strength of both bands are adequately strong, otherwise it switches to the strongest single band.

Jio band 5 is overloaded in most places. So minute it finds band 3 it takes of from band 5.
Band 3 + 40 goes well in jio.

I used to get band 40+band 3 with airtel on earlier days of the lockdown and the speeds were between 20 to 30 mbps now these days band 40 has disappeared into thin air now gets only band 3 which is pathetic than a 3g signal . Gets only max 3 to 4mbps
