So, I have made a switch to Blu from Uber. I still sometimes use Uber when I need to book an instant ride. But Blu works great if you know the time you are leaving in advance. It costs a bit more. Payment options are limited. I would love to have Amazon Pay connectivity here. I usually just add funds in their wallet before the ride. Paytm is supported but they are failing to detect funds in it so ask me to add funds before the ride is booked. Would try disconnecting and reconnecting probably.

For picking my niece from her school, I book the hourly ride, so I do not have to book a second ride to come back home. It works out well. Most of the cabs are in good shape but not all. Drivers are polite. One thing I noticed and is annoying is that sometimes the cars have a constant humm even when it is not moving. Not sure if it is common to all electrics or that Tigor had a messed-up motor.

I have a ride scheduled for 10am right now and the driver has already arrived like 30 minutes ahead of time.

30 minutes early? Boni kari hogi driver ne. How much is the price difference?

Uber one way from niece school was appearing as 160 though this is on the higher side. I pay 224 both sides in one hour Blu rental so it actually costs low. But i usually take an auto to go to school. Hourly means if i get late or there is a diversion, I pay extra for each minute and kilometre.

For Delhi rides Uber is usually 10% cheaper but can be expensive if surge pricing. Blu also doesn't service Noida or Ghaziabad but you can take one way ride or hourly.

Also the driver i got today... I was his third ride of the day. He told me that he barely does six rides max in a day. Blu is still not popular enough. After my ride he went to charging point because tigor has a shitty range. Tata claims 306 but he said he doesn't do more than 120. I guess he doesn't do a full charge or his 50k km+ car battery has lost half of the capacity already.

Used Uber Hourly few days ago to compare with Blu Hourly. Uber is much cheaper for the same route in my case. Car was in worse shape. Driver was slightly sort of impatient even though I was well within the time limit.

Driver was assigned just five minutes before the scheduled time. App didn't show anything till that time. I would be sticking with Blu.

So, this happened earlier today. Just after driver arrived at my place. He could not initiate any ride. App was not working on either of our phones. It took more than a few calls for him to contact the driver support team. They told him, if the passenger is already in car, just complete the ride using Google Maps. He did the same. I was charged for the hourly ride few hours later when their system was back online. My route is a bit over 10KM so I usually pay around 40 rupees extra. That was not charged because as per their system, I did not show up for the ride so they just charged me for the distance I had booked the service for.

Arey benefits are additional. Intercity seems to be a new feature exclusive to this. Not sure what they plan to offer coz ncr is definitely not intercity. I just booked a rental for Delhi and back tomorrow.

Had a weird experience with Blu today. Booked their SUV for two hours because I had to pick someone up and roads were waterlogged because of heavy rain. Driver was assigned from mahipalpur which is like 14km from my place. Waited around 20-25 minutes only to notice he stopped 50m away from my place. No calls nothing. I called him and asked him why he is not coming. He said road to my house is waterlogged. He won't drive through it. I would have to come to him.

Now he can't cancel ride. And if i cancel i pay the cancellation fee. He tells me to deal with customer care.

I call customer care. Took a while to reach a person. Explains the situation to him. He says he can cancel the ride without any cancellation fee. I said ok. I drove my own car and did what i had to do.

I come back home and check the Blu Smart trip log. They did charge me 50 rupee cancellation fee. Now trying to get it reversed.

Got the refund after a few messages and a phone call. They call it a token of love.
