Airtel asking for 6 month advance payment for giving fiber connection.

i got only 165 days for 6 months 6543 plan of 200 mbps and on previous same plan i got 182 days which is 365/2 = 182 days exact 6 months then why i am getting 17 days less this time i raised complaint but airtel is not taking any complaint, i called customer service but they are backfireing me that i have to pay additional amount, i also done twitter post to airtelindia then also no response to them

What is the location and plan you are in. Earlier rate seems to indicate you were charged at 899 per month. Is that the plan? Is the plan still there ? Were you given some discount which is no longer there...

To me it looks like you are being charged 999+ taxes now and were charged 899+taxes earlier.

It depends on the airtel fiber fat box location from your home. If your neighbors are having airtel connection & also your area has couple of other ISPs then, its situation like competition. In that case LCO will not demand for other charges. From airtel there are installation charges for 1 month plan only. For plans ranging from 3/6/12 months there are no installation charges & also free router for any plan. If any LCO is demanding for cash payment then it will directly goes to him. As airtel will provide payment link even for initial payments. If you do not have any other option then you can pay LCO installation charges & take connection or wait if you are not in hurry. In my case I paid 1000 Rs to LCO for new connection with 3 months plan. Because my old ISP do not had reliable connection, also speed was very low for outside India servers. After all It's your choice.
