But dont you think this might be a problem at Reddit`s end ? As people on various ISP are facing it ? Like a interconnect problem or something like that

Fastly cdn is the problem iirc.

Code:
Non-authoritative answer:
i.redd.it	canonical name = reddit.map.fastly.net.
Name:	reddit.map.fastly.net
Address: 151.101.153.140

According to Extreme IXP Manager

Fastly is peered with Extreme IX but traceroutes to the IP don't seem to go through it:

Code:
Host Loss% Snt Last Avg Best Wrst StDev

The new ip ranges you are getting don't use extreme ix now for Mumbai based peering points. Instead they hand it over to Tata directly. Same goes for 1.1.1.1 for me (earlier used to be via extreme ix)

Wait Reddit doesn't work for you guys? I can load images and videos decently enough with no VPNs and stuff.

Edit: Test
No VPN / Proxies, Excitel's DNS

still no loading of videos hosted on reddit's own servers. something funny about this though. i use a browser extension that previews images and videos when i point the cursor on links. videos load just fine when i do that. but they don't load in the reddit video player. no idea why.

reddit is doing some shitty splitting of voice and video files iirc. the videos you download directly do not have voice. you have to rely on third party services to download videos. hence the popularity of downloader bots in reddit threads. i wonder if this is causing the problem. video player fails to merge the audio and video feed and hence doesn't work at all?

there is another possibility. i use old reddit. haven't checked on new reddit which i find unusable. mobile app also loads videos just fine. so maybe it is an old-reddit-thing.

I don't know why reddit doesn't work for you guys, but just to add a data point, I gave old.reddit a shot and the videos load fine there too for me..
