i shifted from lco to direct bsnl office.
Any other benefit from this shift?

How did you do that?

The only and major benefit is better uptime and quick resolution of complaints. My lco was shit, people were surrendering connection here. So bsnl sde/jto took this seriously and they installed olt and started giving connections directly. For new connections the other benefit is no installtion charges beforehand, only Rs. 500 on first bill and modem provided is on rent (they are providing good qualtity ont here, with 2 tel and 4 gigabit port of utstarcom vs Syrotech of lco).

How much did the ONT cost and can post pics of ONT..

btw any differences between Pings after the change?

Now suddenly I feel bad, BSNL should've stuck with direct model than LCO model when they could have done that from the beginning, every LCO brough Netlink/Syrotech clones, charged us 1700-2500/ONT for 1400 shit.
(they should have common sense to minimizw cost every LCO will try to source as generic and cheapest parts as possible)
I don't know who the hell in the higher-ups nudged BSNL to goto LCO model?

See i didn't went with that ont after suggestion with sde as i would be already paying Rs.106 on rent per month * 12 months = Rs.1300 approx per year.
The total one time cost of the ont was somewhere around 12k. The model they were providing here was ONT4842W-I GPON ONT
Did use it for 1 day and it was one of the best quality ont i have seen, good build quality, no heating etc, very stable os, wifi range was good but only 2.4ghz.

Got myself a genexis ont for 1700 online, as i would be getting Mikrotik rb750g3 by the year end for dual wan setup.

Pings are same as before, google and 1.1.1.1 are around 15ms. International pings haven't tested yet. If you want pings for a specific address let me know.

Mine is at -19 on Airtel Xstream Fiber. Distance from till the main LCO distribution box is 105m so I consider the signal as decent considering how many turns it has in between. The installer made sure that the angle of bend wasn't too much at any point.

-30 dbM here , constant from 3 months with decimal changes. The wire has seen a lot of things before coming to my premises -_-

BSNL guys at my area be like - Lets play Khatron ke Khiladi with the Fiber cable and see how much bending can it take
