Hardware requirements

Hi friends, I have applied for BSNL broadband connection. I have Pentium III processor Can anyone tell me what are the other hardware requiremnts ? Is it neceesary to have ethernet card ? Or usb port ? Plz help......
 
yeah. either a USB port or an ethernet connection is required.
 
Dont u have a USB port in ur mobo. Most prob u will get a router which needs an ethernet port
 
Plz tell me how much an ethernet port costs ?and what are the prices of usb port ?Why dont bsnl provide usb port or ethernet card with the modem ?
 
ethernet card would be around 250-350 bucks.
 

prices of usb ports .....these are integrated on the mobo itself and most prob. u wont need these ports and iif u need them replace ur mobo (which mobo do u have?)P

Ethernet cards are Rs.220/- upwards;

USB ports are integrated into the m/board (if your b/board does not have them, recommend changing the same if you *do* need USB ports;

No ISP in the world provides them (it is a part of your hardware)
 
actually you can buy USB ports for old hardware which plugs in your PCI slots.
