Reliable FTTH ISP in Hyderabad? Tired of ads by BSNL

I'm looking for suggestions for a good ISP in Hyderabad, (preferrably FTTH but an ethernet wire also works). A lot of folks are suggesting Airtel and ACT above all else. Last I remember their service was sub-par, but that was when they were "Beam".

I'm currently tired with all the ads that BSNL injects into non-HTTPS websites. Not to mention the adware popup links that get injected as well. Makes me feel very icky about their service.

My preferences in order:

1. Airtel FTTH if available. Don't go with their copper connection. Even if they upgrade to fiber in your area, they won't upgrade your connection to fiber immediately. You will have to follow up and raise complaints regularly.

2. ACT. People have had bitter experiences but if you don't have an issue, you'll love it. It is rare as they monitor their last mile boxes all throughout the day. I have an area office just 3 houses away from my house. I went there once and they keep a track very well. They monitor their connection 24x7. I love an ethernet wire than a clumsy FTTH setup at home.

3. Hathway FTTH. Prefer this only if you have FTTH in your area. Don't go with their DOCSIS connection. They're still on it in some areas. They laid their fiber very well in many areas. You'll experience very little issues due to faulty wiring during rains as it happens with local providers. I shifted to Hathway FTTH from ACT this month. I have no bad experience with ACT, but wanted to try out. Works well with no issues. If pricing is not an issue prefer ACT over this.

4. Any other ISPs that do great in your area.

5. Jio, BSNL FTTH always last. Jio has pathetic upload speeds if you are looking for a good WFH setup. Even though we don't upload much, it pisses me off as to why they cannot offer better upload speeds on fiber. BSNL has a lot of issues, internet works without issues but if you get a connection without worrying for it, it is a miracle. If you are in Hyderabad, you should not even think about BSNL

Thanks, I wasn't aware Airtel was so revered. I've had a disgusting experience with their carrier service in the past so I'm wary of them.

You're right about the ethernet being less clumsy, though. I might go with ACT if the cable speeds are looking good. Thank you guys for the feedback.

Let me take this time to rant on BSNL. Their speed is not that bad but they have barely any portal to track the usage. I very recently found one and it is buried in some local 172.x.x.x IP address somewhere. They claim to have an app but it is for Android only. But the worst part is that they blatantly inject ads into any non-HTTPS website that you visit. Not just ads, they even inject popup links to every click on the page, so that on the first click you are redirected to some shady page. This is not even an ad, it just straight up looks like a malware page that you'd expect on some obscure camsite. And their ads are not even for other products. They advertise their own BSNL services so it's not like they're getting paid for these ads either. The worst is when some web services have to use a non-HTTPS call to backend and get stuck because they are being served the ad instead. They're also very quick to ban websites. They were banning Pakistani government websites long before the others. How does this make sense? What if I want to access the awesome Urdu dictionary on one of their universities' website? Not just that, yesterday I tried to access SoundCloud and it seems like it is banned now for some reason. Absolutely ridiculous. Even if they don't care to treat their paying customers with respect, at least they should think about the dignity of their service which gets tarnished when they openly demonstrate that they can do with one's traffic as they wish.

Airtel FTTH, Limras Eronet, TICFIBER,ACT Fibernet.
@theholydemon People love Airtel ftth because of thier good routing and public ip.
ACT is also good but they use CG-NAT but it shouldn't be a problem for most of the users.
The problem with BSNL is that they lack accountability and thier typical Govt employee attitude. But still outside of the cities you can only get BSNL, so people are stuck with them.

Interesting. If you care to elaborate about Airtel I'm all ears. I'm not very technically savvy of the networking side of things but I have google.

By public IP do you mean static IP? That would be dope to have.
