I had got a new cat 6 cable installed last year from the LCO for my excitel connection as earlier wire had multiple joints. Now again this year the wire has started getting wearing out with blue Outer coating damaged with i guess heat, rain etc. Attaching the picture here.

It recently got broken at one place and had to be connected back with joint. Now i am thinking that i should get a new wire installed again with some kind of protective shield outside.

Will the heat shrink like these help covering the cable? RPISHOP - Black 2.5mm Polyolefin Heat Shrink Tube Sleeve for Wrap 50 Meter https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07X42NZY5/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_fHviFbN27AT9H

Any other suggestions will be helpful.

The cable which was installed had written outdoor cat 6 written on it so i think this was meant for outdoor purpose as well. I guess some cat 6 Cables can be installed outside?

@apurvgupta1 Cat 6 is the electrical standard of the twisted pair cable, it doesn't specify rating for outdoor or indoor environment.

Cables rated for outdoor uses material resistant to UV radiation as the outer protection layer.
