Glad to know. Next time you face issue. Call the guy directly instead of creating ticket.

Only time i called excitel support is to know the router password n username.
Rest always called lco directly for 3-4 downtimes i faced in 10months.

@igloo Thank you for the tip. Will keep in mind.

Keep the local guy happy to get support lol. My local guy is also chill. Though he always seems serious when I call him about something. Probably expects every call to be angry in nature 🤔

Can anyone explain me what is the role of LCO when it comes to getting a connection? I mean we are getting a connection from a company (exitel, Airtel etc), so why LCO comes into picture.
Sorry for off topic, I didn't want to create a new thread just for a simple query.

Excitel just supplies main line to lco. Lco is responsible for laying of wire and it's maintenance.
So 90% of the time, if you're facing issues with the Internet then you should directly contact your lco.
Otherwise if you contact excitel then they will forward the complaint to lco and then lco will contact you. This just results in extra time being wasted.

For the other 10% where the issue is from excitels backend, you don't have to do anything. It will show up as global ticket and gets fixed automatically

Not every LCO picks up the complaint calls regularly. In that case excitel helpline and ticket is the only option. In our area LCO is so bad that in 90% of the times they don't pick up the calls whatever time you may call them. Infact for fiber cuts at LCO's end, my connection has been down for 7-10 days multiple times and I had to raise complaint on twitter, on pgportal to have anyone fix them.

So does LCO lay down fibre or copper connection? Would it not be disadvantageous for the lco's business? He could try to sabotage other connections so that people don't jump his ship.

That means its time to jump ship. Excitel is heavily LCO dependent. They cant do much if lco is ass.

Putting it simply....... these companies cannot afford to maintain paid office/ staff. That is why they are offering sort of profit sharing and a lot of responsibility sharing.

If these companies would have been able to do on their own, they would have done it. Now Airtel is also coming with LCO model.
