After this was posted, I looked again at my voice WAN config and realized its Service Mode was set to VOICE. So I changed it to VOICE_INTERNET and voila I can ping the voice gateway but not SIP server. So a static route needs to be made. Network -> Router -> Static Route and do the necessary changes.

Destination is the SIP server address, Gateway is voice gateway. And we are connected.

Things I did differently than the linked post. Disabled SIP under Application -> ALG configuration. Routers SIP ALG - VoIP-Info.

Anyone having success in configuring softphone with Alphion 1143? It seems BSNL has updated the setup to configure VOIP via OMCI. They setup VOIP WAN automatically when connected. This WAN connection uses 'VOICE' and either editing or deleting of this WAN is not possible. Any update fails with the error

Remote OMCI WAN can't be modified or delete!

I have got an Asus router and it supports dual WAN. Bridge is used to connect that router to internet. So potentially second WAN can be used for VOIP with routing. However nothing works. I get the impression that success depends on changing the VOIP on ONT to VOICE INTERNET from VOICE.

Please help. @varkey , @sloj
