How much did you pay for the ADSL connection ?

Don't lose hope on fiber yet. My friend moved from his village home to the city and rented a room just to get an Airtel Xstream connection installed. But last month, BSNL told him that they can provide fiber at max 50Mbps speed. He terminated his broadband, rent and moved back to village.

Now, he says that it's not as reliable as Airtel which is still running without downtime for last 3 months, but's still very acceptable. If i were to live in village and BSNL even promised a 10Mbps DSL UL connection then I would jump with happiness.

You should continuously write to your state Chief General Manager asking for Bharat Airfiber connection (wireless). It gives up to 100mb/s. I am assuming that there are 50-60+ others who need connection in your area.

Unfortunately that is not the case. But I will be on the lookout for such an opportunity.

BSNL Air Fiber should be the best option in rural areas. I have personally experienced this with a friend. With no physical obstructions, the performance is really good.

This is interesting. Can a broadband connection be converted to this? I am leaving home for a while and I want to put the BSNL connection in safe custody. It would be great if the broadband connection can be converted to a BSNL Air Fiber connection if and when I come back.
