Now they have stopped announcing dial 9 to connect to customer service agent in the sub menus in 121 & 198. You have to figure out yourself where to dial 9 in order to reach customer service agent.
 
it was available, today I called for my bill query. Just the thing is that it was deep nested i.e after lot of menus I got to speak with them.
 
I had to wait for 20 minutes, listen to every option. And suddenly it was available. Lol
 
maybe a general thread covering more service providers? here is my recent experience.

indusind. first time i called, i got connected to a real person rather quickly. but since then, no one picks up the phone. reaching a real person is quite simple but you have to listen to extremely long promo message to use their app two times. no toll free number.

lal path lab. you cannot connect with a real person till you enter your lab number 3 (or 4) times. even if the lab number is accurate, the system does not recognize it. after 3rd (or 4th) try, you are sent to a real person. no toll free number.
 
The menu maps changes time to time. also depends on region, number (post/pre) etc.

Edited: customer care agent sometime is 9 sometimes it is 5 its not fix everytime
