Right after I got the connection everything was fine, I was getting around 90-95Mbps according to fast.com on my PC (Wired) and on my phone. After a while tho I'm only getting around 9.4Mbps on my PC and 50Mbps on my phone.

Was hoping to get some help to fix the issue

is it only on fast.com? Try closest server on speedtest.net as well.

can you share the results from speedtest? is it stuck exactly below 10Mbps both DL and UL?

Its pretty much the same result on every test

It could be that something is wrong with the ethernet cable causing it to limit to 10Mbps link speed.

Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Right click on your ethernet adapter > Properties

ipv4/ipv6 switching problem?

Also try chennai-bharti airtel and OVH Singapore

So I checked the ethernet status and I saw that the speed was at 10.0Mbps. So I unplugged the ethernet cable from my PC and plugged it again and well it got fixed, 100Mbps on fast.com and it shows 1.0 Gbps on the ethernet status now.

This is my first time using a wired connection and I don't know any troubleshooting steps for wired so I didn't think about just replugging it.

Do you guys know what might have slowed it down like that?

In windows I hate how everything requires extra steps

@smashishere you can also try to manually change network adaptor 'speed and duplex' setting next time if it happens again.
